busy bee summer
well, it’s been far too long. summer just runs away from me! back in may and june i was confident that i’d have lots of free weekends and then every. single. one. upped and booked itself solid!
Graham and i have been grilling almost every night we’re home, sitting on out little patio with salvaged furniture until it gets dark. pizza and sausages live on the ‘cue. we take ivy to the beach for a swim more nights than not. we discovered a new (to us) ravine and explored it with big grape slush puppies, now when i bike down gerrard i’m amazed by the cool air that spills out of it like a 100 foot swathe of air conditioning!
this summer’s been wonderful so far. a weekend trip to montreal, trips to rockwood, tubing the elora gorge and camping with friends, a lazy beach day on lake eerie, antique sales with lovely ladeez, the buttertart trail with a fellow malcontent and buttertart addicionado (yes), barbecue & beerz in the nicest newest leaf-shaded reading nook on that side of yonge, getting slightly palm’d on the nicest weekend away with a couple tops ladies and a tops lady-cat! i really can’t ask for more and we’re not even through july.

I MISS EVERYTHING!
i can’t believe it’s been over a month and a half since i posted about being back from new york! so much is going on. #1 occupier of my brain and time is: I HAVE A JOB! and i like it and i’m so green and i have so much to learn! it’s a far cry from the temping world and i appreciate that so much. i used to actual edit photos when mindlessly covering reception with nothing else to do because i was encouraged to play aorund online to pass the time. no more of that! it’s nice to be busy and learning.

graham and i got back from our new york adventure a little over a week ago. i have so many pictures to share! it’s been way unseasonably warm lately and it’s just not prime time to be editing photos and playing online. i promise a little trip round-up is forthcoming!

i’ve dreamed of you for a long time! i can’t wait to fill my extraordinarily beautiful sx-70 with this film. graham and i are going to new york (for a week!) next week and i have penciled in a visit to the impossible project space but when i found myself faced with the opportunity to buy the film locally, i did it.
trip planning is occupying much of my mental space right now. i’m completing a temp assignment just in time to zip to my parents’ for a quick visit and to drop off their babysitting charge for the next week and a half. leaving ivy is the only thing i don’t love about going on a little trip. things might be quieter than usual around here but i promise to come back with a photo-update vengeance once i return!
