I MISS EVERYTHING!
i can’t believe it’s been over a month and a half since i posted about being back from new york! so much is going on. #1 occupier of my brain and time is: I HAVE A JOB! and i like it and i’m so green and i have so much to learn! it’s a far cry from the temping world and i appreciate that so much. i used to actual edit photos when mindlessly covering reception with nothing else to do because i was encouraged to play aorund online to pass the time. no more of that! it’s nice to be busy and learning.

we’re back! + moody skies and early spring
graham and i got back from our new york adventure a little over a week ago. i have so many pictures to share! it’s been way unseasonably warm lately and it’s just not prime time to be editing photos and playing online. i promise a little trip round-up is forthcoming!

precious
i’ve dreamed of you for a long time! i can’t wait to fill my extraordinarily beautiful sx-70 with this film. graham and i are going to new york (for a week!) next week and i have penciled in a visit to the impossible project space but when i found myself faced with the opportunity to buy the film locally, i did it.
trip planning is occupying much of my mental space right now. i’m completing a temp assignment just in time to zip to my parents’ for a quick visit and to drop off their babysitting charge for the next week and a half. leaving ivy is the only thing i don’t love about going on a little trip. things might be quieter than usual around here but i promise to come back with a photo-update vengeance once i return!

the weekend that was (in photos)
ontarians have only “celebrated” family day since 2008 but we’ve easily adjusted to the new holiday. february can be a bit of a wasteland, no? the decision to throw a long weekend into the middle of this short but dreary month was welcome!

i had a really amazing fam-day this year! in my wildest dreams, i can’t imagine how i could have kept better company, laughed any more, stuffed myself with deliciousness more effectively or had more fun whipping my flimsy muscles into somewhat better condition over these two magical days.

a little gras for your mardi! i’ve never actually given anything up for lent as i’m not a practicing anything but i am down with the tuesday of indulgence that kicks it all off! growing up, my family referred to it as shrove tuesday and we’d have pancakes for dinner; a very exciting dinner for a kid.
